As part of the PE curriculum all KS2 children receive one half hour swimming lesson each week for ten weeks in either the Autumn Term or  Spring Term.  When the classes go to the swimming baths they are accompanied by their class teacher and at least one adult helper. In accordance with the County Swimming Policy boys should wear swimming trunks and girls should wear a one piece costume for swimming lessons. Earrings must be removed. School has to pay the cost of transport, swimming tuition and hire of the pool.  We appreciate a voluntary contributions of £3 towards the cost of each lesson. No child will be denied a lesson because of inability or unwillingness of parents to pay. However, if sufficient contributions are not forthcoming, the Governors may need to reduce the swimming programme offered.

At Lindal & Marton Primary School we aim to provide an exciting and stimulating curriculum, by planning many firsthand experiences. Wherever possible, we use input from outside the school such as storytellers, theatre groups, photographers, writers and poets.
